Hello, today I’m interviewing one of my characters from TOUCHED, my debut fantasy/paranormal romance, published by Tirgearr Publishing, and finalist in the Joan Hessayon Award for debut writers.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hello, my name is Joseph Alexander Carlisle the third. I’m an immortal guardian, duty-bound to protect the Hybrid—a job I did not ask for.
Whom do you trust the most?
My brother, Daniel, he’s an immortal guardian too, but he takes his responsibilities less seriously than me.
What is your greatest fear?
All immortals fear only one thing; someone finding out how we became immortal. With that knowledge they would know how to kill us.
What obstacles stand in your way of happiness?
Cami Wilson, the Hybrid I’m meant to protect. It’s complicated. She has the ability to know how to kill an immortal from a single touch, a touch that could kill her too. ‘A curse’ she calls it. There are some immortals who would agree—that’s why they want her dead—but most of us believe she is destined for a greater purpose.
Is there someone special in your life?
Cami Wilson, the Hybrid I’m meant to protect. I told you it was complicated. The whole skin contact thing; it’s driving me to distraction. I can’t hold her… I can’t kiss her…
Want to know if Joseph and Cami can find a way to break the ‘no-touching’ curse before the sexual tension between them reaches boiling point? Find out in TOUCHED, available now.
When inquisitive antique dealer Cami Wilson learns she’s the revered offspring of an immortal mother and a mortal father, it’s not just her hybrid status that has her all flustered. The title comes with her very own super-sexy guardian.
Jaded immortal Joseph Carlisle has only one thing on his mind; his sworn duty to protect the hybrid from those who wish her harm. Anything else would be complicated. That is until they meet.
Chemistry sizzles between them but there’s a problem—the hybrid’s curse. Cami’s touch, skin to skin, proves near fatal to her and all immortals, Joseph included.
But the fated lovers discover her curse is the least of their concerns when a friend’s deadly betrayal threatens to tear them apart forever.
