Last week I attended my first ever Romantic Novelists’ Association event, and what an amazing event it was!
I was there as a contender for the prestigious Joan Hessayon Award for new writers, along with ten fellow authors who, like me, have had a debut novel published after passing through the RNA’s New Writers’ Scheme.
The evening went by in blur, I met some wonderful people, everyone was friendly and welcoming, and although I didn’t win the award (I didn’t imagine for one minute that I would – being a finalist was a huge achievement in itself) I had a fabulous time.
Here’s a few pictures of all the contenders:
Lynda Stacey, Arabella Sheen, April Hardy, Kate Field, Morton Gray, Vivien Hampshire, Emily Kerr, Victoria Cornwall, Terri Fleming, and me! (Jen Gilroy was also a contender, but was unable to attend).
